As a self-taught artist, Suzanne studied many different great artists of all times including Vincent Van Gogh, Jackson Pollock, and William De Kooning, to name a few. Suzanne uses acrylic and oil pastels to create multi-layered compositions. One of the things that amazes her most in creating art is the movement of her hands becoming more like a musical conductor when he is conducting an orchestra. Every piece she creates is an extension of her inner self. Balancing both the past and the present using bold colors and textural layers help to create such abstract works of art.

Both my parents were artists; and as a young child, I can remember creating “pastoral masterpieces” in chalk while my father, an architect by trade worked on floorplans for his clients. I was encouraged to let my creativity flow. Most recently I illustrated the children’s picture, All Is Assurdedly Well for authors Professor Gore and Maestro Wilson which received a starred review from Kirkus and was selected as one of seven Best Indie Children’s Books of 2018. I have a BA in Fine Art with a minor in black and white photography from Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. I am also a disabled chronic complex migraine suffer. With the help of my family, healthcare team and my service dog, Burt I am able to create my art.
